Dr. Michelle Zhou
Dr. Zhou was born in New Orleans and raised in Texas. She completed her undergraduate education from Austin College where she majored in business administration and minored in Art. Dr. Zhou discovered her passion for global oral health during a trip to Mombasa, Kenya where she interned at a local dental hospital. Her research on elephant tusks in Tanzania further advanced her interest in the profession of dentistry.
Dr. Zhou received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA) School of Dentistry (SOD) in 2022 where her passion for holistic primary oral health care was ignited. Upon graduation from the UTHSA-SOD, she received the 2022 Academy of Dentistry International Student Servant Leadership Award, 2022 Student Government Community Service-Learning Excellence Award, 2022 Predoctoral Student Achievement Award in Endodontics by American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Education Association Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program, and the Outstanding Research in Dental Education from the UTHSA.
Dr. Zhou's philosophy in dentistry is to create a patient-centered and welcoming environment. She hopes to holistically serve her patients to achieve beautiful smiles. Dr. Zhou looks forward to give back to the local Hawaiian community. In her spare time, Dr. Zhou enjoys hiking, scuba diving, ceramics, and scoping out new food and boba places.
